Description
This RCBS RC-I single-stage ammunition reloading press is constructed with a heavy green painted cast-metal O-frame designed for bench-mounted operation. The press features a central steel ram operated by a compound linkage and a long steel handle equipped with a green vinyl grip sleeve. It includes a silver-colored primer arm assembly for seating primers during the reloading process. Prominent markings include the manufacturer name RCBS cast in raised relief on the left side of the frame and the model designation RC-I cast on the right side. One of the green linkage arms displays the cast patent number PAT NO. 2,847,995, and the primer arm components are stamped RCBS. The press is designed to accept standard threaded reloading dies and shell holders, though none are included in this lot.
Condition report:
The press is in fair to good condition, exhibiting wear consistent with age and shop use. The green paint finish shows numerous chips, scuffs, and scratches across the frame and linkage arms. The unpainted steel components, including the operating handle, ram, and pivot pins, show significant surface oxidation, rust, and light pitting. The vinyl handle grip is intact but shows minor soiling and wear. The mechanical action appears to cycle smoothly, but the press has not been function-tested for reloading accuracy.
