Description
This is a pair of United States military M2A1 steel ammunition containers, often referred to as .50 caliber size cans. Both items are constructed from heavy-gauge steel with integrated folding carry handles and heavy-duty tension locking latches, finished in original olive drab paint. The first can features yellow stenciled markings on the side reading 1140 CTGS / 5.56MM, BLANK, M200 / CARTONS / LC-83D021 – 183. The LC-83 code identifies the manufacturer as the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant and a production date of 1983. A faint impressed mark reading S C F is visible on one end of this can. The second can features embossed markings on the end reading 13 over M2A1, denoting the standard military nomenclature.

Condition report:
Both cans are in good military surplus condition. They exhibit typical signs of field use and storage, including surface scratches, minor paint loss, and areas of light surface oxidation, most notable on the hinge assemblies and lid edges. The integrated handles and locking mechanisms are fully functional.
