Description
This lot consists of a group of four single-stack magazines designed for 1911-style semi-automatic pistols chambered in .45 ACP. The collection includes two stainless steel and two blued steel magazines of varied manufacture. The first magazine is a stainless steel unit with seven witness holes and a floorplate stamped with the markings RANDALL over 45 AUTO. The second magazine is finished in blued steel with seven witness holes, and its floorplate features the Kimber logo, which consists of a stylized letter K inside a gear-like border. The third magazine is a stainless steel Kimber KimPro Tac-Mag which is side-stamped with the markings 45 ACP, KIMPRO, and TAC-MAG along with numbered witness holes three through seven; its floorplate is stamped PATENTED. The fourth magazine is a blued steel unit featuring five witness holes and a black floorplate containing two threaded mounting holes intended for bumper pads. Key markings across the lot include the manufacturer names Randall and Kimber, along with the specific caliber and model designations transcribed above.
Condition report:
The magazines are in good used condition and exhibit physical characteristics consistent with regular use. The stainless steel Randall magazine shows light surface scratches and some localized oxidation and staining on the floorplate. Both Kimber magazines display minor finish wear on the bodies from insertion and extraction, with the blued surfaces showing light thinning at high points. The unbranded blued magazine shows similar finish wear and some scuffing on the floorplate. Followers and springs appear to be under appropriate tension, although the magazines have not been function-tested with a firearm or live ammunition.
