Description
A collection of 8 vintage raised handgun rib kits manufactured by The Poly-Choke Co., Inc. of Hartford, Connecticut. These kits are designed as a bolt-on accessory to improve the sighting plane and shooting performance of various handguns. The set includes specific models for the following Ruger firearms as indicated by the original side labels: four kits for the Ruger Blackhawk with 4 5/8 inch barrels (model 96102), two kits for the Ruger Target Auto MKI and MKII with 6 7/8 inch barrels (model 96112), one kit for the Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 7 1/2 inch barrel (model 96101), and one kit for the Ruger Security Six with a 4 inch barrel (model 96109). The kits are presented in their original retail packaging, consisting of black cardboard window boxes and clear plastic hard cases with yellow foam inserts. Promotional graphics on the packaging feature a revolver over a target with the claim “Install it yourself. Professional results. No machining or fitting.” The packaging also lists US Patent numbers 3556889 and 195340. Several boxes retain original “Complete Kit $14.95” price stickers.
Condition report:
These items appear to be new-old-stock (NOS) in their original packaging. The packaging shows signs of age and storage, including light shelf wear, minor scuffing to the plastic cases, toning to the paper labels, and some adhesive tape residue on several boxes. The internal components appear unused.
