Description
This lot consists of 124 total rounds of .17 Remington centerfire rifle ammunition, comprising both factory-loaded cartridges and a collection of hand-loaded rounds. The assembly includes one original factory box of 20 rounds of Remington Premier AccuTip-V ammunition, designated as 20 grain AccuTip-V with model number PRA17RA. These factory cartridges feature gold-colored polymer-tipped projectiles seated in brass cases. The remainder of the collection includes 104 hand-loaded cartridges housed in two plastic storage boxes, featuring 50 rounds of 17 Rem and 49 rounds of 17 rem 25gr loads integrated into the count. One blue plastic box contains 52 rounds with nickel-plated cases and copper-jacketed hollow point bullets, with internal handwritten load data reading .17 REM 25GR HP 19.5 H335. A clear plastic box contains 52 rounds with brass cases and hollow point bullets, marked internally as 17 REM 25GR HP 22.5GR BLC/2. All cartridges feature headstamps transcribed verbatim as R-P 17 REM, identifying the brass as Remington-Peters production. Condition report:
The ammunition and packaging are in overall good condition and appear to be live. The Remington factory box exhibits moderate shelf wear with some fraying at the edges and light creasing. The cartridges themselves are well-preserved; the nickel-plated cases retain a bright finish, while the brass cases show minor surface tarnish and light oxidation consistent with long-term storage. The projectiles appear clean and free of significant deformation. The plastic storage boxes are intact and functional, with legible handwritten load data on the interior lids.
