Description
A collection of eight vintage Poly-Choke raised handgun rib kits manufactured by The Poly-Choke Co., Inc. of Hartford, Connecticut. The lot consists of eight individual kits in their original retail containers, including four black cardboard window boxes and four clear plastic cases with yellow foam interior padding. These aftermarket accessories were designed for user installation without the requirement for machining or fitting. Specific applications identified on the packaging labels include the Ruger Auto Bull MKI and II with 5 1/2 inch barrels and the Ruger .357 Magnum with a 6 1/2 inch barrel. Each package features the maker’s logo, product specifications, and U.S. Patent numbers 3,556,889 and 195,340. Several examples retain original red starburst retail stickers.
Condition report:
The kits appear to be in new old stock condition. The exterior packaging shows various levels of storage-related wear, including minor edge fraying on cardboard boxes, surface scratches on plastic cases, and adhesive residue from old tape. The yellow foam inserts exhibit typical age-related discoloration and minor crumbling. The metal components appear unused.
