Description
This collection features an assortment of black powder muzzleloading cleaning tools and accessories in original retail packaging. The group is composed primarily of cleaning tube assemblies and drain tube/nipple sets from Mountain State Manufacturing (MSM) and Connecticut Valley Arms (CVA). The MSM items, which include some branded as Super Rod, consist of clear flexible tubing with brass threaded fittings. Visible part numbers include 03209, specified for 6-.75mm threads for Lyman and other Italian guns, and 03123, specified for 1/4 x 28 threads for standard American rifles. These items are labeled as Made in U.S.A. The CVA accessories consist of drain tube and nipple sets featuring orange-tinted flexible tubing with brass fittings. Packaging for the CVA items includes model AC1631, with 6x1mm threads for CVA guns, and model AC1632 for USA guns, with labels indicating they were Made in Taiwan.
Condition report:
The collection is in New Old Stock (NOS) condition and remains in original retail packaging. The cardboard backing cards and plastic blister packs show various signs of shelf wear consistent with age, including yellowing, corner creasing, and the presence of original retail price stickers or adhesive residue. The tools and tubing themselves appear to be unused and in good condition.
