Description
This Taurus Model 856 is a double-action/single-action revolver chambered for the .38 Special cartridge. The firearm is configured with a 2-inch snub-nose barrel featuring a fixed ramped front sight and a notched top-strap rear sight. The metal surfaces are finished in a matte black, and the revolver is equipped with textured black rubber finger-groove grips that incorporate the Taurus bull logo. The swing-out cylinder provides a 6-round capacity. Key markings include the model designation 856 and the serial number ACA417702 on the right side of the frame, accompanied by Taurus Int’l Mfg and Bainbridge, GA. The right side of the barrel is also marked with the serial number ACA417702 and the caliber .38 SPL. The left side of the frame displays the manufacturer markings Taurus Armas and Made in Brazil, while the crane is stamped with the number 307. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in good used condition. The matte black finish shows light holster wear on the sharp edges of the barrel and the forward edge of the cylinder, with a faint turn line visible on the cylinder and minor handling marks on the frame. The bore is bright with crisp rifling and no visible erosion. The action appears to function correctly in both double-action and single-action modes with secure cylinder lock-up. The rubber grips are in excellent condition with no significant wear to the texturing or damage to the material.
