Description
A collection of vintage Remington Kleanbore handgun ammunition, consisting of a lot of 87 rounds total packaged in two period-correct boxes. The first box contains 37 rounds of .25 Automatic ammunition, labeled for 50-grain metal cased bullets, and features a mixture of headstamps including REM-UMC 25 AUTO, W.R.A. CO. 25 AUTO, and P 25 AUTO, with foam filler material used to stabilize the contents. The second box is a full container of 50 rounds of .32 Smith & Wesson ammunition with 88-grain lead bullets, all bearing the REM-UMC 32 S&W headstamp. Both boxes display the characteristic green and red Remington Kleanbore branding with DuPont logos and provide clear identification of the caliber and bullet type. The packaging shows significant signs of age and shelf wear, including edge fraying, corner dings, and surface discoloration. As this is vintage ammunition, it is intended for collector purposes; we have not function-tested this ammunition and it is sold as-is.
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes show significant wear with edge fraying, scuffing, and minor tearing at the corners and along the flap edges. The ammunition cases exhibit various degrees of surface tarnishing and oxidation consistent with decades of shelf storage. Lead bullets in the .32 S&W box show surface oxidation, while the metal cased .25 Auto rounds vary in finish from bright to dulled with some visible spotting. The ammunition appears to be live and intact, but stability and functionality are not guaranteed due to the age of the components.
